I was raised in the Midwest, but my love for storytelling will take me worldwide.
Featured in USA Today, Detroit Free Press, Indianapolis Star and more!
Having grown up in Columbus, Ohio, I'm proud to hail from a city with a history and love for combat. We may be underdogs, but we know how to beat the odds ... even when they're 42-1.
I've wanted to be a fighter since I was 9 years old. While most kids spent their days watching Cartoon Network, I toiled about in my room studying the likes of Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali.
Despite my love for shadowboxing and the smell of a fresh pair of gloves, I quickly realized I wouldn't sniff the middleweight crown. So, I adopted a new dream: providing Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts coverage to millions worldwide.
From delivering The Columbus Dispatch Sunday edition to graduating from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, I've devoted my career to telling in-depth personal stories about the best athletes on the planet.
My work has been featured in USA Today, Detroit Free Press, Golfweek and many more award-winning publications, but now I want to focus on the sport that first instilled my love for sportswriting.
Gift of Jab is my passion project, and I pride myself on telling the stories that combat sports fans care about. From features to photos to exclusive interviews, I hope to prove that all fighters have a story, from the world champion to the desperate journeyman fighting on his last legs.
Thank you for being a part of mine.
